North Philadelphia homes with Kyle Keenan

North Philadelphia covers a lot of ground, and Kyle has worked across it: an investor duplex, a renovated three-bedroom near Logan and Olney, and a former church being sold for redevelopment.

What the homes are like

The standard house here is a brick rowhome, two or three stories, often with a first-floor front room that opens onto a stoop. Some were built as duplexes or have been split into two apartments, which is why investors look here for rental income.

Corner buildings sometimes started as storefronts, and larger lots and old institutional buildings, including churches, occasionally come up for conversion. Condition varies block to block, from gut renovations to homes that need full systems work.

Getting around

The Broad Street Line runs north and south through the middle of the area, and the Market-Frankford Line follows Kensington Avenue on the east side. Regional Rail stops at Temple University, North Philadelphia and Wayne Junction.

I-95 and I-76 are both within a few miles by car. Public schools here belong to the School District of Philadelphia.
