What the homes are like

Bristol Borough was settled in the 1600s, and its streets show it: narrow brick and frame rowhomes, twins and a handful of Victorian houses, many on small lots a few blocks from the water. Newer tract housing sits in the surrounding Bristol Township.

Older houses mean older systems, so inspections here focus on plumbing, wiring and foundations. Some blocks sit near the river, which makes flood zone status worth checking before you buy.

Getting around

US-13 passes through town, and I-95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike are a short drive north. The SEPTA Trenton Line stops at Bristol station, and the Burlington-Bristol Bridge crosses to New Jersey.

The Delaware Canal towpath, part of Delaware Canal State Park, runs along the edge of the borough, and Mill Street is the main downtown strip.
